Terms and conditions of booking and our Privacy Policy
The person making the booking will be responsible for it, and must ensure that the following terms and conditions are fully understood by all members of their party.
Guests fully accept these terms and conditions by booking the garden apartment and paying their deposit or paying in full.
The deposit of £100 is payable at time of booking, this will secure your booking, and is not refundable.
The balance must be paid at least 1 month before guests arrival.
We reserve the right to re-advertise the dates booked if balances are not paid 1 month before guests arrival.
No more than the number of people stated at the time of booking can occupy the garden apartment, (the garden apartment sleeps a MAXIMUM of 2 persons including children.)
The owners reserve the right to refuse occupancy if the stated numbers at the time of booking are exceeded.
Guests will be asked to leave immediately if this is not adhered to.
The booking will then be deemed cancelled with full loss of deposit and balance.
If you have to cancel your booking then please let us know as soon as possible so that we can endeavour to re let the garden apartment.
In the event of being able to re let, then a refund will be made.
Any breakages or damage should be notified to the owners as soon as they happen.
We can then endeavour to replace such items before our next guests arrives. (There’s an honesty box for guests use in the garden apartment)
If you do have any problems please contact the owners ASAP during your stay so that they have the opportunity to sort thing out before you leave.
Guests will be responsible for leaving the garden apartment as clean and tidy as they find it.

The owners of The Garden apartment accept no liability / responsibility for any loss, damage or breakage to baggage or personal belongings however caused.
The owners of The Garden Apartment will not be liable for any accidents or injuries however caused
The owners of The Garden Apartment will not be held responsible or liable for any loss or damage however caused to vehicles and or their contents.
Arrival time is 3:00pm. Departure time is 10:00am
Broadband
As guests at these premises using the broadband facilities, you agree that you will not use the service for unlawful or illegal purposes

Your Data and Your Privacy
We have to collect and keep secure certain information that identifies you, known as Personal Identifiable information (PII). We are fully committed to protecting your privacy. Changes to the data protection laws May 2018 and the introduction of General Data Protection Regulation requires us to provide the information shown below regarding the processing of your personal identifiable information.
Who we are
We provide a holiday rental property knows as The Garden Apartment, This is owned, run and managed by both Beryl and Mike Eden. The Garden Apartment is situated to the rear or Croft Cottage 36 Bongate Appleby in Westmorland Cumbria CA16 6HW
What Data We Collect
We accept booking via telephone calls and email and as such, certain personal information is received, including name, address, telephone numbers, email address and other such information regarding a booking such as number of guests, age of children if applicable and if any pets are in the party. Your IP address is also included in your emails that you send which is also classed a PII. We do NOT collect any financial information that would be financially sensitive to you. All payments made via bank transfer are secure via your own bank and ours. We never see, need or store this information.
Why do we collect Data
There are a few reasons for collecting and storing information, the headings for this are as follows:
Booking Contract
We collect information that we need, in order to answer booking enquiries made regarding our holiday accommodation. We collect telephone numbers and email address so to contact you immediately if there is a need to. Accounting and Tax We use information to enable us to produce figures so to meet our legal obligations for accounting and tax.
Market Research
We analyse information in order to look at booking trends and how we obtained these bookings. This could be either via Facebook or a listing site. This helps us to make decisions regarding the best way to market the property. Direct Marketing and Mailshots. We do not use direct marketing or mailshots and as such do not hold information such as a mailing list.
How do we store any Data
Copies of emails are stored on our own password and firewall protected laptop and on the secure server for our email provider. We also have a secure server for our website domain. How long do we keep Data We keep copies of the emails for a period of 6 years for accounting and tax purposes.
How we protect Data
If you make payment via bank transfer your bank will secure this - please see the padlock sign on the webpage. Our own bank also secures your data and this is not shared by them to us.
